« BackCambridge alumna releases iPhone app about Paris
Impressionist Paris iPhone applications (1, 2 and 3) feature
fact-filled itineraries (Musee d'Orsay to the Louvre, Latin Quarter to
the Marais, and Pantheon to the Luxembourg Gardens) that highlight the
connections between Impressionist paintings and the street scenes that
inspired them.
A photo album feature lets you save your own views. An additional list
of local favourites (cafes, bakeries, shops and more) give an insider
view onto the neighbourhoods.
The walking tours were recently mentioned by France Magazine in their 'App Watch' section.
Pursuing her interest in architecture and interactive screen media,
Alumna Dr Julia Sussner came to the University of Cambridge Digital
Studio (a subsection of the Department of Architecture), where she
completed the MPhil and later a PhD. Since graduating, she started a
digital media company, Parsing Place, which produces interactive content
for mobile devices.
