Athletics: Claire Hallissey (Robinson 2011) selected after stellar performance

Claire Hallissey (Robinson 2001) has been officially selected to for Team GB in the marathon at the London 2012 Olympic Games. The 29 year old was the highest places British female in the 2012 London Marathon, finishing 11th in a personal best time of 2:27.44.

She joins Paula Radcliffe and Mara Yamauchi as a third British entry for the women's marathon.

Claire studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge, before completing a PhD in immunology in Bristol.
