voices & creativity Lucy Cavendish College's acclaimed literary festival Women’s Word returns for 2012 on 22 and 23 June. This year’s festival launches with a literary dinner with comedienne Sandi Toksvig on Friday 22 June (6.00pm - late). Sandi featured last year and was so popular that those who were unable to attend especially requested Women's try to invite her back, so be sure to book your tickets early as they are bound to disappear again quickly! On the morning of Saturday 23 June, hear leading writer Lisa Appignanesi in conversation with Professor Janet Todd, literature expert and President of Lucy Cavendish, (11.30am - 12.45pm). 'First Crime Lucky': meet Sophie Hannah over a buffet lunch on Saturday 23 June (1.15pm-3.00pm) with a panel made up of the four up-and-coming crime writers Kate Rhodes, Julia Crouch, Louise Millar and Elizabeth Haynes. The final event this year will celebrate the London Olympics with a look back at the 1948 ‘Austerity’ Olympics, also hosted by the capital, featuring archive footage accompanied by a talk from author Janie Hampton on Saturday 23 June (3.30pm - 5.30pm).
