An introduction to your local Schools Liaison Officer

An introduction to your local Schools Liaison Officer

Did you know that each College has a Schools Liaison Officer assigned to regions of the UK who may be able to help you with outreach?

Please note that this provision is only for UK Alumni Groups

If your Group is involved with outreach activities, or would like to be, did you know there is a College Schools Liaison Officer assigned to your region who might be able to help?

Through the University’s Area Links Scheme, every College is linked to a particular UK region and employs a Schools Liaison Officer (SLO) to build relationships with students, teachers and advisors in schools and colleges in that region. Many SLOs are Cambridge graduates themselves and all are passionate about raising educational aspirations and widening access to Cambridge.

SLOs can be a great resource for UK Groups and could potentially:

  • provide guidance on conducting outreach activities and up-to-date information and resources
  • provide student statistics for your region
  • introduce you to local schools and colleges

Meet the SLOs for Clare College, who are linked to Coventry and Warwickshire.

Please contact the Alumni Engagement team to be put in touch with the SLO for your area.
